This month’s letter marks the anniversary of the game’s launch and it’s been quite a year by any estimation with more than its fair share of highs and lows. It’s kind of hard to reconcile that it has actually been a year already!

This week Funcom and a worldwide community of gamers celebrate the one year anniversary of the massively multiplayer online role-playing game ‘Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures’. One year after the mighty barbarian burst onto the online gaming market, shipping over 1.2 million copies around the world, Funcom is seeing a significant increase in players and new customers per month. Activity levels have risen significantly, and the communities are thriving with more and more players finding their way into the game.

It’s more than a little fitting that as the snow has melted away and given way to some Scandinavian sunshine here in Norway, and as the brighter month’s approach that we also can look forward to the new changes and updates coming for the game.

XFire runs a big Age of Conan contest with lots of great prizes. In addition there will be a Live Dev Chat on 10th of April with Game Director Craig Morrison.
